In the final decades of the twentieth century, parallel with the rapid growth of the global pharmaceutical industry, polymer-based packaging—particularly PVC—gained widespread acceptance due to its high transparency, excellent formability, moisture resistance, and strong sealing properties. These advantages quickly established PVC as a primary material for blister packaging of pharmaceutical products. With the introduction of this technology to Iran, the need for domestic production and reduced reliance on imports became increasingly evident.
In response to this demand, Daroupat Shargh became the first company in Iran to establish production lines for rigid PVC sheets, taking a major step toward meeting the needs of the domestic pharmaceutical industry and enabling the replacement of imported materials with locally manufactured products. This achievement marked a turning point in improving the overall quality of pharmaceutical packaging in the country.
As part of its continuous growth strategy, Daroupat Shargh has expanded its product portfolio and now manufactures a wide range of polymer films and sheets, including PVC, PVC/PVDC, PVC/PE/PVDC, PET, PVC/PE, PET/PE, multilayer laminated films, and HIPS, as well as shrink labels with multi-color printing capabilities. These products are extensively used not only in the packaging of tablets and capsules, but also in various food packaging applications, where they contribute to maintaining product quality, safety, and shelf life.
